Well...?

How's it going?

Are you dieting? Exercising? Parking your car farther away at the store? Resisting the temptation of that oh so yummy looking chocolate chip cookie?

What's your plan? You ask.

I'm watching what I eat.
[so instead of just shoving the cookie in my mouth - I'm actually watching it go inside] ;)

Really though, I am resisting the temptations I have for chocolate. & Instead of eating two hot pockets at lunch, I'm just having one. I plan on cutting back on the sweets [chocolate] and eating healthier snacks. I've never been much of a pop drinker, but.. instead of 1 every two weeks, I'm going to cut it out completely.

I'm also trying to work out. 'trying' is the keyword. We have Wii Active and Just Dance[which really is a work out!] & I plan on trying to use those as a workout.

So, that's my plan! Let's hear yours!

  1. Writing down EVERYTHING I eat is helping tremendously. Fitday.com has a daily food tracker, its free and has been a helpful resource to me. Counts calories, fat intake, etc.

  2. I've been taking "snacks" to work - b/c I always get hungry midafternoon, and go for something bad in the office. Clementines, low fat pretzels, etc. AND, water!

  3. It's going...I've really been back to watching what I eat. I am weighing/measuring some foods to know my portions and tracking what I'm eating (I can send you a referral to an awesome food/exercise/weight tracking site if you give me your email).

    I've also been exercising my butt off (hopefully literally, although I do not see those results yet). I am back to doing yoga both Tuesday and Thursday and today was my first day of these Strength/Circuit training classes that I'll go to every Wednesday. I'm also doing Barry's Bootcamp which I bought a few weeks back - totally kicking my butt...and some other side things. I'm EXHAUSTED today!

    Unfortunately I haven't lost much, if anything yet. I'm rather irritated by that. I feel like I've worked hard enough to lose 20#, but I'll be lucky if I've lost anything by tomorrow. Grrr.

  4. my plan? hope that when I step on the scale tomorrow, some of the "Christmas fat" has melted away. and then, next week, start doing something to pretend like I'm getting into shape...

  5. I've decided that one of my biggest issues has to do with mindless snacking; eating because I'm bored..ahhh! So to take its place i've been religious about having a water bottle with me at all times. That way when I feel the urge to have a mindless snack I have something to sip on to get me through.

    I do admit that water can get boring from time to time. In that case I add a fresh slice of lemon or lime to give it a healthy twist of flavor.

    It all works out in the end. I cut down on worthless snacking and increase my daily water intake :)
    So far it has been sucessful!!
